Stateless girls in Thailand are often treated as second-class humans. They are not afforded the same access to services as Thai nationals and are far more likely to be trafficked for sex or labor. Stateless students, however, are granted more privileges, which is why ADRA works to keep girls enrolled in schools while also fighting the longer-term battle for legal citizenship.
